Maine Governor Janet Mills Visits GO Lab Madison

On May 1st, GO Lab president Josh Henry welcomed Maine Governor Janet Mills to the mill Madison. The governor came to announce how the state intends to use the $1.13 billion it’s receiving under President Biden’ American Rescue Plan Act.

The governor’s decision to announce the Maine Jobs and Recovery Plan at GO Lab was equal parts humbling, exciting and in line with our mission as a company.

“The work of GO Lab,” noted Governor Mills at the beginning of her remarks, “demonstrates that our heritage industries are not just something of the past—they’re the economic engine of the future.

We couldn’t agree more and are grateful for the support of you, our investors, and Governor Mills and our other partners in Augusta.

The governor’s address attracted a healthy turnout from news organizations. The Portland Press Herald, Bangor Daily News, and Newscenter Maine all covered the events in Madison.
