Industry Involvement and Affiliations

Timer HP is exactly the type of allied member AIA Connecticut should have on board. They are committed to regional sourcing, manufacturing, and distributing of insulation materials which improve building performance in several key aspects: energy use reduction, occupant comfort and wellness, and carbon sequestration. All of these align with our strategic goals as an organization.

Personally, Patriquin Architects have been limited in the use of wood fiber-based insulation products due to limited availability and high procurement costs. We are excited to have Timber HP’s products come online soon to help us achieve more of our office’s sustainability goals, including the AIA 2030 Commitment and Materials Pledge.

University of Maine + TimberHP

The University of Maine’s Advanced Structures and Composites Center (ASCC) cutting-edge research and testing capabilities provide TimberHP with trusted, third-party data that supports building code compliance and building science best practices.  TimberHP collaborates closely with the ASCC on both federally and state-supported research projects. Since our inception, we have relied on the facility to provide research and development for our products as we bring them to market.
