At Axea Construction Group’s Stamford project, the team installed TimberBoard as exterior continuous insulation to improve thermal performance while keeping the wall assembly vapor open.
TimberBoard reduces thermal bridging, supports straight strapping and cladding, and allows assemblies to dry to the exterior, and its dense wood fiber structure also contributes to a quieter interior.
Carpenters found the panels straightforward to cut and fasten with standard jobsite tools, and the boards integrated cleanly into a typical rainscreen assembly. The result is a high-performance wall assembly that feels familiar to build and delivers measurable gains in efficiency and durability.
