Beyond R-Value, Round Table: Building the Best Wall

We have all come a long way with our buildings, from log cabins to very drafty and leaky walls in the early 19th century homes to today where we are aiming for lots of insulation and air tightness below 3 ACH/50 or lower!
This month we will be diving into the hard working wall assembly and discuss options that you all have to build. From simple 2×6 stud walls to walls utilizing continuous insulation to double stud walls…..we will be going over it all! Once again, we are bringing back industry leaders in the BS (Building Science that is)! We will also be going over a student built project from Taylorville, IL that used dense packed TimberFill double stud walls designed by Emily Mottram! Matt Blomquist from Taylorville High School will be discussing the build.
